Ian Smith begin playing the trumpet at 10 years old. He studied with Mr. Ellis Marsalis and Clyde Kerr Jr…Ian is classically trained under the direction of Ron Benko of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Ian is an in demand studio trumpet player and session musician. He has recorded numerous albums with local and international artists. He has performed with Greg Allman, Luther Kent, The Temptations and Joss Stone just to name a few.
